Affiliated State Organizations

What is an Affiliated State Organization?
Affiliated State Organizations (ASOs) are independent societies and associations that work with NSA for the betterment of the accounting profession and the membership of both organizations. To qualify for affiliate status, the constitution and bylaws of the state organization must conform with those of NSA. Only one affiliate (ASO) is allowed from any state or territory. NSA presents several awards to ASOs at the NSA annual convention; these recognize the achievements of the ASO of the Year, the best newsletter/publication and the outstanding public relations program. NSA also recognizes the efforts of ASOs that monitor their State Board of Accountancy and inform NSA of any pending actions.
